Morse Announcer · last updated 1 November 2026

Morse Announcer (package tejo.morseannounce) announces events on your phone in Morse code, using sound, vibration and on-screen text. This page explains what the app reads and what it does with it.

Notifications from other apps

If you grant notification access, the app reads the app name, title and text of notifications that arrive on your phone. It uses them only to decide, with the filters you set up, whether to announce a notification in Morse code, and to build that announcement.

The app keeps a list of the last 50 notifications on your phone, so you can see what was announced and create filters. You can clear this list in the app at any time, and it is removed when you uninstall the app. You can switch notification access off at any time in your phone's settings.

Nothing is sent to the developer or anyone else

The app has no internet permission. It does not send, sell or share any data with the developer or with anyone else, contains no advertising and no analytics, and does not create an account.

Your phone's own backup

If you have switched on Android's backup to your Google account, Android may include the app's settings, filters and reminders, so they come back on a new phone. The developer has no access to that backup. The list of recent notifications is always left out of it and never leaves your phone.

Backup files

Only when you tap Save backup file, the app writes your settings, filters, reminders and People list (names, phone numbers and codes you entered) to a file at a place you choose with Android's file picker. Where that file goes is up to you. The list of recent notifications is never part of it.

Contacts

The app has no access to your contacts. When you use Pick from contacts, Android lets the app read only the one name and number you picked.

Other permissions

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13.
